My best guess is that you can't. Typically with department store credit cards you can only use them in the store in question and cannot get cash advances. My best advice is to call the 1-800 number on the back of the card and ask.
No, you cant take a cash advance on your gold JcPenney credit card. Sorry! All you can do purchase at Jcpenney and CVS. I have a gold jcpenney credit card.
You have to call the companies customer service department and ask. Take a look at your contract. It should be in the contract that you signed, when you got the card. It would say if you have that option. credit card companies like JC Penny have the option to change terms and offer different benefits per each state. So, if someone on this site says, no. They will be giving you wrong advice. If they said yes, it would be the same. We no dot know what you signed up for?

So try calling all your credit card companies. And if you get in a bind call a cash payday advance company. They will lend you money until your next paycheck. They usually charge around $40 to $60 for lending you $300 to $400.

Sometimes the Salvation Army will pull through as well,if you have one in your area.
Take time to look into your community for support, but some people don't have all the options that come with an understanding community.
